Hexagon’s U.S. government subsidiary has promoted its next chief executive from within the business’ own ranks in Chris Reichert, who first joined as vice president of strategy in 2018.

The two-decade market veteran will guide Hexagon US Federal through the next phase of its strategy in bringing technology and professional services to agencies.

This transition announced Monday follows the departure of former Hexagon US Federal CEO Tammer Olibah to take up that same role at Integrated Data Systems. Olibah previously led Hexagon US Federal for six years.

Hexagon US Federal is a subsidiary of the Sweden-headquartered industrial technology company that describes its specialty areas as including installation security, geographic information systems, cybersecurity and C4ISR.

Reichert became the subsidiary’s chief operating officer in January after three years as its chief strategy officer. He joined the Hexagon US Federal board of directors in March.

His industry career also includes roles such as Science Applications International Corp., Cubic-Abraxas and BAE Systems’ U.S. subsidiary.
