BlueHalo

Brian Morrison has joined as president of the defense technology integrator's intelligence portfolio in the same year of its combination with Eqlipse Technologies.

Morrison entered the private sector in 2012 following service as a deputy assistant defense secretary during the tenures of Robert Gates and Leon Panetta. Prior to that, he spent five years as a staffer for the House Intelligence Committee.

His career in industry since includes a variety of executive roles at General Dynamics Mission Systems, the company's defense and space hardware business unit.

Booz Allen Hamilton

Aimee George Leary has moved up to chief people officer, a role that puts her in charge of the firm's overall talent strategy and employment value proposition.

Leary succeeds Betty Thompson, who retired from Booz Allen in July after 16 years in the chief people officer role.

Before this promotion, Leary led a team that established Booz Allen's technical talent system to help empower employees and advance both innovation and equity.

Mercury Systems

Brad Whittington started at the aerospace and defense electronics maker as senior vice president of engineering on Monday.

He joins Mercury in the wake of its reorganization into a more centralized setup amid the company's ongoing push to rejuvenate growth, profitability and program performance.

Whittington most recently worked as vice president and chief engineer at Leidos' defense systems segment. His career also includes leadership roles at Raytheon, Lockheed Martin and NASA.

Summit Technology Group

Marc Tate has joined as executive vice president of federal sales for the public sector business at this provider of workflow management software.

Tate's appointment takes place amid a busy period for STG, which received financial backing in the spring from Enlightenment Capital. STG subsequently hired former Capgemini Government Solutions CEO Bill Webner as chief executive of its public sector business.

Tate is a 24-year public sector market veteran who most recently worked as senior director for federal partners at Tanium. His career also includes roles at Amazon Web Services, Booz Allen Hamilton and Pentagon Federal Credit Union.
