Capgemini's federal arm promotes Ford to CEO

Capgemini's U.S. federal subsidiary has promoted a new chief executive within its own ranks in Dan Ford, a two-decade veteran of the business whose appointment takes effect immediately.

Ford most recently worked as head of U.S. federal sectors and led Capgemini Government Solutions' national security sector prior to that. Capgemini announced Ford's appointment Wednesday and noted he succeeds Bill Webner, who joined Summit Technology Group in June to lead its public sector arm.

“Dan has been a key driver behind the growth in the Capgemini Government Solutions business and we have every confidence that he will successfully continue strengthening and deepening the company’s long-term value,” Jim Bailey, Capgemini's Americas region CEO, said in a release. “His leadership will bring a new perspective while we continue to be innovative with our clients and competitive in the federal marketplace.”

Capgemini Government Solutions provides enterprise and technology modernization services to agencies in the civilian, health, national security and defense communities.

The subsidiary has recorded approximately $61.4 million in unclassified prime obligations over the trailing 12 months with the Homeland Security Department representing the largest share of that spend at 47.7%, according to GovTribe data.
