Summit Technology Group adds Webner to leadership team
As CEO of STG's public sector arm, Bill Webner will lead its push to expand across federal lending and grant-making agencies.
Summit Technology Group has hired a new leader for its government business in Bill Webner, who joins the workflow management software maker after a one-year stint as CEO for Capgemini Government Solutions.
As chief executive of STG Public Sector, Webner will oversee its push for expansion across a federal user base that includes lending and grant-making agencies.
He also joins STG in the wake of its receipt in the spring of backing from Enlightenment Capital, the government market investment firm.
"With (Bill's) leadership and our deep bench of technical experts across application development and cloud solutions, we are expanding our software platforms to address the government’s most complex regulatory needs, including identity verification, fraud and risk management, next generation loan servicing, and process automation,” STG's CEO Ben Wallace said in a release Monday.
STG designs its cloud-based software products to support complex government, regulatory and financial workflows at federal agencies, commercial financial institutions and other enterprise organizations.
Webner spent 10 years at Capgemini's U.S. federal subsidiary and the decade prior to that in leadership roles at Booz Allen Hamilton.
