Find opportunities — and win them.

Barbaricum is looking to offer defense and intelligence agencies a wider portfolio of services to help operators work with their data.

Defense technology integrator Barbaricum has acquired a provider of aviation support and airborne intelligence services to gain more of a foothold in modernization- and data-centric programs.

Barbaricum is also purchasing ODL Solutions to grow its access with agencies in the defense and intelligence communities, including those in special operations. Terms of the transaction announced April 15 were not disclosed.

ODL is a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business that opened in 2012 and describes its core service lines as including ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance), training and mission support.

Washington, D.C.-headquartered Barbaricum is looking to combine those services with its offerings in applied artificial intelligence and machine learning with the goal of helping operators better utilize the data they have.

"The combined forces will drive significant advancements in modernization efforts, predictive analytics, AI/ML, and battlespace fusion for the defense and intelligence communities," Barbaricum co-founder and partner Brandon Bloodworth said in an April 15 release.

Barbaricum is also an SDVOSB and was founded in 2008 to specialize in technology, communications, mission support, cybersecurity and intelligence.
