The two-decade old company has hit the $100 million-annual revenue mark and is looking to break the next one.

Acuity, a national security technology consulting company, has hired nearly three-decade market veteran Gregg Melanson as its next chief growth officer to lead expansion efforts across the federal landscape.

The Reston, Virginia-headquartered company opened for business in 2002 as an 8(a) small business. Acuity touts itself today as an estimated $100 million-annual revenue company with a workforce exceeding 350 employees.

Acuity said Wednesday that Melanson will be responsible for helping shape its growth strategy in terms of work with federal agencies and strategic partnerships with other technology companies. Amazon Web Services, ServiceNow, Microsoft and Databricks are among those in Acuity's current partnership network.

Most recently, Melanson worked in the chief growth officer role at Iluminate and prior to that was in the same capacity at CyberCore. His career also includes executive roles at Trowbridge & Trowbridge, PPC, Catapult Technology and NCI Inc. (now known as EmpowerAI).
