The former Amazon and Microsoft executive is no longer with Flexport after the CEO who recruited her was forced out.

Teresa Carlson, known in the federal market for her years building the government businesses of Microsoft and Amazon Web Services, has left a supply chain technology startup company she joined less than a year ago.

Carlson was the president and chief commercial officer at Flexport. She left the company in the wake of the departure of the now-former CEO who hired her.

Dave Clark, also a former Amazon executive, either resigned or was ousted by Flexport's board on Wednesday.

However Clark departed, published reports describe a somewhat chaotic scene that unfolded during a call between Clark and Flexport's founder and executive chairman Ryan Petersen.

According to the Information, Clark was given the choice to resign or be fired. Tensions were high because of sluggish revenue and a push to cut costs.

Clark recruited both Carlson and Darcie Henry, formerly Flexport's chief human resources officer who has also left the company.

In a post to LinkedIn, Carlson not surprisingly was upbeat.
