The role was temporarily fulfilled by GDIT's chief technology officer prior to this appointment.
General Dynamics' IT services business unit has hired a new chief growth officer in Paul Tartaglione, who joins that team after 24 years at Booz Allen Hamilton.
That role was temporarily fulfilled by Chief Technology Officer Ben Gianni, GDIT said Monday. Tartaglione will oversee GDIT's enterprise growth strategy and business development initiatives.
Most recently, Tartaglione was a senior vice president and partner at Booz Allen with responsibility over IT services programs for federal agencies.
His background includes technology service lines involving artificial intelligence, data solutions, cybersecurity and software development.
