Tyto Athene hires new technology chief

Tyto Athene has hired a new chief technology officer in Peter O'Donoghue, a two-decade industry veteran who joins this federal systems integrator from his prior CTO role at Leidos' civil business segment.
O'Donoghue will focus on Tyto's investments and partnerships as part of its strategy to pursue more business opportunities in digital transformation, the company said Thursday.
He worked in that civil CTO position at Leidos for the past three years. His career also includes technology leadership roles at companies such as Idemia and Unisys, plus the former CSRA and Computer Sciences Corp.
"We have made significant investments this year to accelerate our growth," Tyto's chief executive Chris Mielhammer said in a release. "Peter’s proven abilities to drive growth through technology insertion, innovation and collaboration is an integral component to Tyto’s success.”
Tyto's is owned by the private equity firm Arlington Capital Partners, which purchased the government IT and telecommunications services provider in the summer of 2018 from former parent Black Box.
With that backing, Tyto acquired the former AT&T defense IT professional services business and Qbase within approximately six months of each other in 2021.
