Core4ce was founded in 2019 and graduated from its former small business status in three years.

Government technology contractor Core4ce has acquired an IT security company specializing in vulnerability assessments of computer networks.

In purchasing PatchAdvisor, Core4ce is also looking to incorporate more penetration testing functions into a wide suite of cyber offerings that can be deployed across larger customer sets. Terms of the transaction announced Monday were not disclosed.

PatchAdvisor's customer and user base across the federal government include defense and intelligence agencies. Core4ce is also a cybersecurity provider for the Defense Department.

“Uniting PatchAdvisor’s assessment capabilities with Core4ce’s defensive cyber expertise allows us to provide the full spectrum of cyber services to our customers," Core4ce's chief executive Jack Wilmer said in a release.

Reston, Virginia-headquartered Core4ce was founded in 2019 and graduated from its former small business status in 2022. Prior to PatchAdvisor, the most recent acquisition for Cor4ce was of Spinvi Consulting.

Core4ce has posted approximately $30.6 million in prime contract revenue over the trailing 12 months with substantially all of that coming from DOD, according to USASpending.gov figures.
