ICF adds former CDC official to federal health leadership team
The three-decade veteran most recently led CDC's engagement functions with other government agencies and external partners.
ICF has hired a new senior vice president for its federal health business in John Auerbach, a nearly three-decade veteran who joins the company from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Auerbach will be responsible for guiding ICF's work in emerging federal health markets and how it supports agencies in their long-term goals, the company said Monday.
He will also provide clients with findings and insights drawn from ICF's nearly 2,600 specialists in federal health, social programs, workforce and organizational strategy.
"John's industry experience will help advance our proven combination of deep domain and scientific expertise with leading-edge analytics and technology solutions to help clients better meet their critical missions and deliver improved health outcomes," said Jennifer Welham, ICF's senior vice president for health, human services and workforce.
Most recently at CDC, Auerbach was director of intergovernmental and strategic affairs with responsibility for engagement with other agencies at all levels of government and other external partners.
Auerbach also oversaw CDC's health equity advisory group and held the title of chief equity officer for the agency's COVID-19 response.
Prior to CDC, his career included roles such as public health commissioner in the state of Massachusetts and chief executive for public health policy advocacy firm Trust for America's Health.
