The 15-year company veteran will focus on the Ideal Innovations Inc.'s professional services business.

Biometrics and forensics technology provider Ideal Innovations Inc. has promoted a new president from its own ranks in Richard Syretz, a 15-year company veteran.

Syretz will lead the Arlington, Virginia-headquartered company's professional services line of business. He first joined the company in 2008 as chief financial officer, then became chief operating officer in 2015.

“Richard’s strategic vision will be supported by an experienced leadership team that will execute on growth initiatives in our core competencies of biometrics, various forensics disciplines including facial identification, and innovative science and technology solutions," I3's founder and CEO Bob Kocher said in a release.

Prior to I3, Syretz spent 25 years at Raytheon Technologies in corporate finance and program leadership positions.

I3's customer base includes defense, law enforcement and intelligence organizations.finance
