Reli Group finalizes leadership realignment
The founder will keep the role of president after handing over the CEO title.
Reli Group has promoted a new CEO from within its own ranks in Swami Swaminathan, the company's chief information officer for the past five years.
He has worked in the chief executive post on an interim basis since July and now oversees the delivery and operational areas of Reli.
Swaminathan will work alongside the now-former CEO Mohammad Elias, who with the title of president will focus his time and attention on Reli's corporate strategy and technology incubator program.
“I feel confident in his leadership to take Reli to the next level and guide us as we transition to a mid-size company," Elias said in a release.
Elias led the founding of Reli in 2013 as a provider of services in cybersecurity, health data, IT modernization, management consulting and other professional services to federal agencies.
Reli is headquartered in the Baltimore, Maryland suburb of Catonsville and has received $135.5 million in unclassified prime contract obligations from federal agencies over the trailing 12-month period.
A vast majority of that spend was from the Health and Human Services and Homeland Security Departments at 51% and 47% respectively, according to USASpending.gov data. The remainder was from the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
