The two-decade government market veteran joins SNC after seven years as chief HR officer at Vectrus.

Aerospace systems maker Sierra Nevada Corp. has hired a new senior vice president of human resources in Frank Peloso, a two-decade government market veteran and most recently chief HR officer at the company formerly known as Vectrus.

Peloso will lead development and execution of SNC’s strategy to recruit new employees and retain current staffers through initiatives related to compensation, benefits, learning, development and business partnerships.

“The entire HR function plays a critical role in supporting company success and I look forward to building the people strategy in alignment with SNC’s overarching mission, vision and values," Peloso said in a release Thursday.

He joined SNC in June after seven years at Vectrus (now V2X), where he was CHRO dating back to that company's spinout from then-parent Exelis in 2014.
