Cybersecurity company Axellio has hired a new chief executive in Scott Aken, a two-decade veteran who most recently led a subsidiary of CACI International.
Axellio said Monday that Aken succeeds Bill Miller, who will stay with the Colorado Springs-headquartered company as executive chairman of the board of directors.
As president of CACI's Charon Technologies subsidiary, Aken oversaw a business that provided special-purpose hardware to government and commercial customers with strict security requirements.
Prior to that, Aken served in key cyber business leadership roles at Science Applications International Corp. and the former L-3 Communications. His private sector career also includes roles at Verisign, GE Information Services and Manuguistics.
He is also a former FBI special agent focused on cyber, counterintelligence and computer intrusion investigations.
