SOS International's appointment to lead its Exovera data analytics and software subsidiary joins after nearly three decades at Booz Allen Hamilton.

SOS International said Monday it has hired a new leader for its Exovera data analytics and software subsidiary in Bob Sogegian, who joins after three decades at Booz Allen Hamilton.

He succeeds Dr. Barbara Stevens, the former CIA chief data officer that was appointed CEO of Exovera in 2020 and will continue to serve on the executive team.

Sogegian most recently was vice president and partner in charge of Booz Allen’s law enforcement and security portfolio that includes the Homeland Security, Justice and State departments as customers.

Among his responsibilities were building and leading a multi-disciplinary organization comprising nearly 500 engineers, developers, analysts, and consultants in areas related to cloud computing services, analytics, cyber security, digital forensics, biometrics and communications.

Reston, Virginia-headquartered SOSi stood up Exovera in 2012 as a commercial technology spinoff focused on open source data analysis for government and commercial customers.

SOSi has since further built its automation and data business through acquisitions such as Defense Group Inc. in 2017 and NorthStar Solutions to add more collection, fusion and analysis capabilities.
