Raytheon elevates new corporate, strategy development lead
She currently leads the aerospace-and-defense giant's business unit focused on intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
Raytheon Technologies has promoted nearly two-decade company veteran Barbara Borgonovi to senior vice president of corporate strategy and development in a move that takes effect April 1.
Her responsibilities will include assessing acquisition opportunities that Raytheon believes can enhance growth, the company said Wednesday. Borgonovi currently works in Raytheon’s intelligence and space segment as president of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
She will report directly to Chairman and CEO Greg Hayes and succeeds Michael Dumais, Raytheon Technologies’ chief transformation officer since its launch in 2020 after the Raytheon-United Technologies merger.
Dumais joined Raytheon in 1998 and also was responsible for strategy and development functions in addition to his current role. He will become an outside strategic adviser to the company as part of a planned transition, Raytheon said.
