Leidos' most recent leadership hire is a three-decade Army veteran who most recently oversaw its command responsible for several initiatives for science, technology and research-and-development initiatives.

Leidos has hired a new leader for its Army account in John George, a retired major general and former commander of the Combat Capabilities Development Command.

The 33-year Army veteran will be responsible for several aspects of organic growth including further building and growing relationships with key customers within that service branch, Leidos said Tuesday.

As leader of CCDC, George led the Army’s largest technology development organization that had a $13 billion annual budget.

CCDC oversees programs for science, technology, research-and-development and engineering that often involve collaboration with other federal agencies, industry, academic institutions and allied partners.
