Nearly two-decade veteran Randy “RJ” Kolton joins the IT and professional services provider as chief operating officer.

IT and professional services firm HarmonyTech has hired a new chief operating officer in Randy “RJ” Kolton, a 23-year federal market veteran and long-time business development executive.

HarmonyTech said Monday Kolton will oversee corporate functions related to contracting, finance, human resources, IT and service quality.

Kolton will also lead several aspects of business development including capture and proposal, as well as efforts to expand into new customers and grow collaboration among the company’s technologists.

Most recently, Kolton was chief growth officer at digital transformation company Brillient Corp. His career also includes senior leadership roles at Synectics for Management Decisions, Data Systems Analysts, Ideal Innovations Inc. and the former L-3 Communications.
