Science Applications International Corp. is only saying so much about how its space and intelligence business given the nature of that work, but has some data to share on how things are going there.

Science Applications International Corp. continues to build its space and intelligence business with $410 million in new contract awards in its fourth quarter.

That brings SAIC's total bookings to $2 billion in that sector for its most recent fiscal year ended Jan. 31, the company said Wednesday

“The stellar growth we have seen in the national security and space sector this year is attributable to steady, bold and relentless pursuit of a vision,” said Michael LaRouche, president of that sector. “This team knows their customer mission, the technology landscape and how to accelerate through innovation.”

Because of the classified nature of the contracts, SAIC declined to release further details. A spokesman said the wins leaned heavily on SAIC’s systems engineering and integration skills, as well as digital transformation capabilities.

SAIC’s digital engineering offerings is a strong point of emphasis for the company and has led to new work with defense, intelligence and civilian space customers, the spokesman said.
