Washington Technology's parent company makes key leadership promotions following a dozen acquisitions and organic growth.

Every company that executes a series of acquisitions eventually must rework things at the top and our parent company is no different.

GovExec has closed 12 acquisitions in the last year, in addition to acquiring the Public Sector 360 group from 1105 Media that included Washington Technology.

Today, the company announced the promotion of Constance Sayers from president to the newly created role of chief revenue officer. She will have oversight of all revenue and sales across the entire portfolio of content brands and platforms and data companies. This includes GovTribe, The Atlas, Military Periscope, Forecast International and City & State.

“Connie led the growth and transformation of GovExec over the last nine years,” said GovExec CEO Tim Hartman.

Troy Schneider, president of GovExec and
Public Sector 360 content brands.

“We have acquired 12 companies and as we have grown, our desire to provide best-in-class solutions for our clients has been paramount. Connie will provide company-wide oversight of all growth and revenue initiatives, bringing her expertise in operations, data sales, and advertising to the full suite of companies that make up GovExec.”

GovExec also promoted Troy Schneider to the position of president of GovExec and Public Sector 360 content brands.

He was formerly general manager of government technology brands and an executive under the 1105 regime. He’ll oversee business operations, content and audience growth, and will report to Sayers.

In addition to those two promotions, Dave MacIntosh has joined GovExec as executive vice president of data sales. Expanding data sales will be key to the next phase of growth for GovExec, the company said.

MacIntosh will focus on business development and sourcing new data streams to grow the revenue for the software and data products including GovTribe, The Atlas, Military Periscope, and Forecast International. He joins the company from Health Information Management Systems Society Inc., where he was senior global partnership executive.

“This new leadership structure signals the imperative to provide clients with best-in-class solutions from across the expansive GovExec portfolio,” the company said in its release.
