Droneshield, an Australia-headquartered company that makes counter-drone technology, has promoted a new CEO of its U.S. subsidiary to be responsible for expanding that business.

Matt McCrann joined Droneshield in 2019 as vice president of sales and as CEO will lead its push to further develop artificial intelligence and electronic warfare offerings for U.S. government customers, the company said in a release earlier this month.

His career prior to Droneshield includes sales and program leadership roles at Camvi Technologies and Tecore Networks, respectively.

DroneShield develops advanced layered products for handheld, on-the-move, and facility detection and protection against unmanned system threats. The offerings are designed for use on terrestrial, maritime and airborne platforms.

The company’s customers include entities in the military, intelligence community, government, law enforcement, critical infrastructure and airport segments.
