Guidehouse promotes new health segment lead

Guidehouse promotes one of its founding partners to lead the consulting firm's health segment.

Guidehouse has promoted one of its founding partners and nearly 25-year consulting veteran Alicia Harkness to lead the firm’s health segment.

This new position gives her combined responsibility for both the public health leadership post she previously held with the commercial health role once held by Dave Zito, who was recently named chief growth officer.

In a release Wednesday, Guidehouse said Harkness will be responsible for accelerating innovation and growth across the continuum of care through the development of strategies and solutions for large-scale transformational efforts.

Harkness led the establishment of Guidehouse’s Center for Health Insights to act as a source for research, trends and best practices across the health care landscape. She also has overseen the firm’s inclusion and diversity function.

Her career includes time as a partner at PwC (where Guidehouse was the public sector business prior to its 2018 spinoff and renaming), where she led the commercial health care business. She also held executive roles at BearingPoint and is a former partner at KPMG.
