CenturyLink moves federal lead Young up to senior VP

CenturyLink has promoted David Young, formerly regional vice president of strategic government, to the senior vice president ranks at the global telecommunications company.

A CenturyLink spokesperson confirmed Young’s promotion to Washington Technology. CenturyLink closed its combination with Level 3 Communications in November of last year and unveiled the integrated executive leadership team for the government business in February.

Post-close, CenturyLink has five customer-facing units in its government business and three other groups that extend across the unit. The combined company has 700 people focused on the federal market.
