Jacobs takes $480M DISA test, evaluation support contract

Jacobs Engineering Group has won a potential six-and-a-half year, $480 million contract to help the Defense Information Systems Agency carry out testing, evaluation and certification work.

DISA consolidated eight predecessor contracts into this new iteration, according to Deltek. The market intelligence firm lists incumbents as Alion Science and Technology, American Systems, Beacon Management Group, Lockheed Martin, ManTech International, Oberon Associates, Science Applications International Corp. and TASC (now Engility).

The agency received three offers for the new contract, the Defense Department said in its Thursday awards digest. Work will take place over a two-year base period that is followed by three one-year option periods and an additional six-month option period afterward.

Absent any potential post-award protests, Engility stands to lose almost 2 percent of annual sales and conclude its incumbent work in January 2018, analyst firm Cowen & Company wrote in a Sept. 20 note to investors. Work under incumbent contracts is scheduled to expire over December of this year and January of next year, according to Deltek.

Jacobs will perform the work at DISA’s headquarters in Fort Meade, Md. and at the agency’s Joint Interoperability Test Command headquarters at Fort Huachuca, Ariz.
