AASKI buys cloud services provider ConnectSolutions

AASKI Technology has bought cloud services company ConnectSolutions to add new virtual training and web conferencing offerings for federal and commercial organizations.

Tinton Falls, N.J.-based AASKI Technology has acquired cloud computing services company ConnectSolutions to expand virtual training and web conferencing offerings for federal government and commercial organizations.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed and San Francisco-headquartered ConnectSolutions will operate as an AASKI subsidiary with the new name of CoSo Cloud.

AASKI views the acquisition as its entry into the cloud and managed services arenas and plans to pursue opportunities for electronic learning and virtual training programs, a company spokesperson told Washington Technology.

Founded in 2007, CoSo Cloud offers managed and cloud services for virtual classroom usage and the companies seek to combine those offerings with AASKI’s professional services in network management.

AASKI’s federal customers include the departments of Defense and Homeland Security and in the intelligence community. AASKI's defense footprint covers the U.S. Army, Defense Health Agency and Defense Information Systems Agency. The company's civilian agency customers include the Transportation Security Agency within DHS.

The company also works in commercial markets such as telecommunications, financial services, energy and transportation.

CoSo Cloud General Manager Glen Vondrick will report directly to AASKI CEO Bharat Parikh and becomes a member of the parent company’s executive team.

Law firm Scarinci Hollenbeck represented AASKI in the transaction and DecisionPoint advised CoSo Cloud.
