Government agencies and integrators have yet another company to consider as they upgrade to faster network infrastructures. Milpitas, Calif.-based Force10 Networks has jumped into the government market with its new E series high-speed switches and routers.

Government agencies and integrators have yet another company to consider as they upgrade to faster network infrastructures. Milpitas, Calif.-based Force10 Networks has jumped into the government market with its new E series high-speed switches and routers.

This month, NASA began using Force10's 10-gigabit Ethernet E300 product in its Goddard Space Flight Center. The E300 is being used in a high-performance cluster to allow NASA scientists to perform complex simulations based on space and Earth science data. The E300 supports up to six 10-gigabit Ethernet ports, or up to 72 gigabit Ethernet ports.
