Hardware and services include communications equipment, videoconferencing and knowledge management. Army Communications Electronics Command $800 million over five years May This will be a multiple-award procurement with contracts given in two functional areas: enterprise hardware solutions and services. Winners of the services functional area will use contractors from the hardware functional area to fulfill customer needs. Services include program management, IT policy and planning, enterprise design, and business process re-engineering. Homeland Security Department $500 million. Undetermined length. June Formerly the Immigration and Naturalization Service's Entry-Exit System, this contract will be to build a system to track non-U.S. citizens as they enter and exit the United States. The automated system will establish the identity of people who intend to visit the United States, verify their identity as they enter the country, note if they overstay the terms of their entry documents, and alert government personnel if they are or become identified as national security threats. Army Space and Strategic Defense Command $500 million over five years. June This is a multiple-award, small-business contract. The contractors will provide support in seven areas: strategic and tactical communications, systems program support, mission analysis and architecture planning, systems engineering, development and integration, operational planning and support, and rapid prototyping and limited procurement and fielding support. FBI $125 million over four years. November This is a multiple-award, small-business contract to provide technology services ranging from managing local-area networks to creating mapping software for tracking crime. The programs and systems supported include Drugfire, the Investigative Information Strategy Plan, the Bureau Personnel Management System, the Financial Management System and the Inspection Division.
