State Dept. taps Stanley Associates for IT support

Stanley Associates Inc. won a five-year contract to provide a wide range of information technology services to the State Department's Bureau of Consular Affairs, the company announced Sept. 13. The value of the award was not disclosed.

Under the contract, the Alexandria, Va.-based company will provide operational, network administration, maintenance management and critical supplies management support for the Department of State's Bureau of Consular Affairs, Passport Services Directorate.

The work was awarded to Stanley Associates through a competition under the Department of Transportation's Information Technology Omnibus Procurement contract, the company said.

The company has worked with the Department of State's Bureau of Consular Affairs since 1992, when it won its first National Passport Center contract. Subsequently, Stanley Associates won a contract in 1997 to provide IT support to all 16 of the bureau's passport processing facilities.

Stanley Associates is an information and professional services company with annual revenue of $108 million and about 1,200 employees.
