Five Teams Win Navy Electronic Warfare Deals

The winners were selected by the Naval Surface Warfare Center to provide electronic warfare and communications intelligence services.

Five companies have been selected by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division, to provide electronic warfare and communications intelligence services, the Navy announced.

The awards are for one year with four one-year options. Winning companies were:

*Argon Engineering Associates Inc., Fairfax, Va., for a contract worth up to $38 million;

*General Dynamics Corp., Falls Church, Va., for a contract worth $37 million;

*Northrop Grumman Corp., Los Angeles, for a contract worth $28 million;

*Scientific Research Corp., Atlanta, for a contract worth $29 million;

*Fuentez Systems Concepts Inc., South Charleston, S.C., for a contract worth $27 million.

The companies will provide software, hardware and systems engineering, configuration management, integrated logistics support, documentation, training and hardware repair, manufacturing and installation.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center provides development and technical support for fleet mechanical and electrical systems.

Work will be performed primarily in Tidewater, Va., and the contract will run through September 2006.
