SAIC wins Air Force logistics deal
Science Applications International Corp. has won a contract to provide systems support to the Air Force Space Command.
Science Applications International Corp. has won a contract from the Air Force potentially worth $49.5 million over five years.
The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, called Consolidated Logistics Advisory and Assistance Service Support, provides systems support to Air Force Space Command.
The contract is for the Space and Missile Systems Center Space Logistics Group. While its base period is only four months, it includes four optional one-year extensions.
SAIC will lead a team of 14 subcontractors to provide technical services, including comprehensive weapons systems support. SAIC also will support policy management, help improve the operation of systems and provide technical and analytical tools as needed.
Based in San Diego, Calif., SAIC ranks No. 5 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
