The U.S. Trade and Development Agency seeks proposals for technical assistance on a security project at the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda, which is planning to expand its container-handling capacity.

Security improvements are needed for the port to comply with the International Maritime Organization's international ship and port facility security code. The contractor must review the security program, examine future security needs and help train personnel.

The work will be funded by a U.S. Trade and Development Agency grant. The contractor may use subcontractors from the host country for up to 20 percent of the grant amount. Responses are due by Jan. 19. to Evangela Kunene at ekunene@tda.gov.
