The Air Force Materiel Command is starting a new development program for an ultra-sensitive detector system. The system must consist of a detector, associated electronics for amplifying and digitizing the detector signal, cooling hardware and documentation.

Proposals for the system's development must include laser ranging and target detection, with as much information as possible provided from an image processor to assist in target identification.

The program will consist of three possibly overlapping phases over 36 months. Responses are due by Oct. 1. Contact Dax Presuto at dax.presuto@kirtland.af.mil.
