DRC Gets $20 Million Order From IRS

The Internal Revenue Service awarded a task order worth about $20 million over the next five years to Dynamics Research Corp., the company announced June 26.


DRC of Andover, Mass., will continue to develop and maintain the IRS's integrated collection systems, a mission-critical set of information systems supporting U.S. tax collection.


The award brings to $50 million the total value of orders issued to DRC under its Treasury Information Processing Support Services-2 contract, won in 2000. As a result, DRC's annual revenue from IRS programs has increased from $8 million a year ago to an annualized rate of $12 million.


Among the awards DRC has received in the past are the quality assurance program in support of the IRS Prime Integration Services modernization initiative, development of security certification documentation for IRS systems nationwide, management support for an electronic fraud detection system, and support of the Telefile eligibility and filing program.
