Resource Consultants Inc. of Vienna, Va., and AMSEC LLC of Virginia Beach, Va., will compete against each other under a five-year, $491 million Navy contract to provide installation support services for a wide range of Navy systems.

The two companies will compete for task orders to provide services in engineering, installation, equipment fabrication, equipment modification, testing, inspecting, training, logistics, drawings, design, data processing, and record keeping for Navy command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems.

Under the contract, the companies will support the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in San Diego, and provide integration services in San Diego, Bremerton, Wash., and Honolulu. Seventy percent of the work will be carried out in San Diego, with the remainder split evenly between the other two bases.
