Peraton back in CBP competition after contract confusion

Peraton is back in a competition for a Customs and Border Protection task order after clearing up the agency's confusion over whether the company to deal with was Peraton or Northrop Grumman.
It should be pretty common knowledge across the market by now that Peraton acquired the Northrop Grumman IT services business, but apparently the folks at U.S. Customs and Border Protection didn’t get the memo.
That transaction gave Peraton a position on the Alliant 2 contract vehicle, from which the company pursued an IT services task order with CBP.
But CBP kicked Peraton out of the competition and said Northrop held the spot on Alliant 2, not Peraton.
The confusion explains why Peraton filed a protest against its elimination under this name: Peraton Inc. – the Complete Successor to Northrop Grumman Systems Corp.
But all is well that ends well. CBP has allowed Peraton back into the competition for the task order.
