Geospark co-founder returns to CEO post
Geospatial technology company Geospark Analytics appoints one of its co-founders to be CEO again and chart the next phase of growth.
Geospark Analytics, the commercial geospatial technology company launched roughly four years ago, has appointed one of its co-founders to return to the CEO role.
Founder and Executive Chairman Omar Balkissoon will primarily focus on ensuring the continuous iteration of Geospark’s flagship artificial intelligence and machine learning product as CEO, the company said Tuesday.
Recruiting and retaining top-end technical talent is also a cornerstone of Geospark’s next phase of growth, the company said. Balkissoon succeeds Amanda Brownfield, who was appointed CEO late last year and left Geospark earlier in the summer.
Herndon, Virginia-headquartered Geospark also has promoted current Chief Operating Officer John Goolgasian to president and chief growth officer.
