T-Mobile elects former NGA director to board

T-Mobile’s board of directors has elected a new member in Letitia “Tish” Long, the four-decade intelligence sector veteran and former director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

Long will act as the director focused on national security and will oversee those commitments that are linked to T-Mobile’s merger with Sprint. She also will serve on the board’s nominating and corporate governance committee, T-Mobile said

She is chairman of the board for the Intelligence and National Security Alliance and is also on the boards of Parsons Corp., Noblis and the Corporate Office Properties Trust.

In her NGA appointment, Long became the first woman to lead a major intelligence agency.

Long's career also included service as deputy director of Naval Intelligence, the first deputy defense undersecretary for intelligence (policy, requirements and resources), then both the first chief information officer and deputy director of the Defense Intelligence Agency.
