Peraton to continue Strategic Command IT support

Peraton receives a new $443.8 million contract to continue providing IT platforms and support services to U.S. Strategic Command.
Peraton has been awarded a new five-year, $443.8 million contract to continue providing IT platforms and support services to U.S. Strategic Command.
The Pentagon’s Thursday awards digest lists the awardee as HP Enterprise Services, a business that has gone through several transactions within the past decade and most recently to what is now Peraton.
What was HP Enterprise Services’ recent history goes like this: that business became part of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, then DXC Technology, followed by Perspecta and now Peraton. HPES’ origins go back to EDS also.
Herndon, Virginia-headquartered Peraton will build systems and applications for Stratcom at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska.
Deltek data indicates this award appears to be an extension of work under a contract awarded in 2016 to what we will call HPE Enterprise Services, given that the former Hewlett-Packard split in two in 2013 to form HP Inc. and HPE.
