ManTech back in the chase for $518M Army contract

ManTech quickly protested when it lost a $518.2 million field support contract with the Army, which almost as quickly rethought the award to General Dynamics.
ManTech almost immediately filed a protest after it didn’t win a $518.2 million Army field support contract, and less than a month later that award to General Dynamics was pulled back.
The companies are competing to support the Army Communications-Electronics Command, which includes the Software Engineering Center and the Tobyhanna Army Depot. The work is being competed under the Army’s Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services contract known as RS3.
The Army never filed a response to the protest with the Government Accountability Office. After reading the ManTech protest, the Army apparently found some merit in the protest and is now taking a corrective action.
ManTech had argued the Army’s evaluation was flawed and that it should have won the contract.
The Army is going to conduct new evaluations and make a new award decision.
The Army is using this task order to combine work that is being done by GD and ManTech, so both companies can claim some incumbency.
