CACI International confirms its win of a $376 million system modernization task order with the Agriculture Department.

CACI International has reported its win of a potential seven-year, $376 million task order to help the Agriculture Department run and modernize the agency’s supply chain management system.

The department has tasked CACI with a cloud migration, modernization to an SAP S/4HANA system and deployment of additional functions from Salesforce.

Arlington, Virginia-headquartered CACI said Wednesday the effort also includes automating several software functions to aid in productivity of USDA’s domestic and international food and nutrition programs the agency runs in partnership with the U.S. Agency for International Development.

CACI secured the order through the General Services Administration’s Alliant 2 vehicle and won the work in December over one other bidder, according to Federal Procurement Data System information.

Efforts supported by USDA’s supply chain management system include the National School Lunch Program, global UN World Food Program, Emergency Food Assistance Program and Farmers to Families Food Box.

Launched last year, the Farmers to Families Food Box is for purchasing and distributing more than 125 million food boxes containing U.S. agricultural products to families experiencing food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
