VA picks 9 to join $22.3B tech transformation services vehicle

With all pre-award protests denied last week, the Veterans Affairs Department has indeed moved on its selection of companies for the on-ramp to join the $22.3 billion T4NG technology services contract vehicle.

Known as Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology Next Generation, the T4NG contract is the VA’s main vehicle for acquiring IT solutions and other services from industry.

Only service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses were eligible for this on-ramp that comes nearly five years after the initial 28 awards were finalized.

The nine on-ramp winners announced Friday were:

• Aptive Resources
• Client First Technologies
• Decisive Point Consulting Group
• DexteriTech Solutions
• Dynamic Government Resources LLC
• Maveris
• Mind Computing
• Thunderyard Liberty Joint Venture
• Veteran Technology Integrators LLC

The VA apparently received 98 offers for the on-ramp that covers work over five years, according to Federal Procurement Data System information, so post-award protests are a real possibility.

Prior to those selections, another group of nine companies had protested their elimination from the phased process the VA used to make the awards.

Eight of those protests were denied by the Government Accountability Office during the week ended Feb. 26. A ninth protestor in Summit Technologies had its claims of unfair elimination rejected by a judge at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

The on-ramp solicitation was unveiled to industry in November 2019 with bids due the month after that.
