Serco takes $600M Navy recompete

I’m sure Serco Inc. celebrated when it retained a single-award contract with the Navy worth $600 million, but it’s even sweeter when that award comes out of the gate with a $153 million task order.

Serco has been tapped by the Navy to maintain hardware, software and firmware as part of the Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection Ashore Sustainment Program. The contract has a five-year base and a single three-year option.

The initial task order has a five-year term if all options are excercised.

Serco will provide life-cycle sustainment of physical security and access control, and command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) systems as part of the Commander Naval Installation Command’s AT/FP program worldwide.

The company will also work with the government on technology refresh efforts to improve capabilities and improve performance. Serco has supported this customer since 2003.
