DHS readies new draft of $10B FirstSource III solicitation

Find opportunities — and win them.

By the end of this month, DHS will have a new draft of the solicitation for its $10 billion FirstSource III small business vehicle to support IT needs.

The Homeland Security Department is planning to release another draft solicitation for its $10 billion FirstSource III contract vehicle by the end of this month.

Version one came out in November and this new draft will incorporate comments DHS has received since then, according to a Beta.Sam.gov posting.

DHS said the new draft will be a “near final version” of the small business contract.

FirstSource is DHS’ vehicle of choice for IT hardware and software needs. The first draft of FirstSource III included set-aside categories for HUBzone; service-disabled, veteran-owned; and women-owned small businesses. General small business is also a category.

The draft slated to come later this month will include evaluation instructions and factors, and the pricing model for industry to review and comment on.
