ECS touts Internet of Things, digital transformation in new acquisition
ECS closes its fourth acquisition since the business was itself purchased and this latest deal eyes work around Internet of Things technology and other digital transformation areas, including deployments of ServiceNow's platform.
ASGN, the parent company of federal IT business ECS, has acquired Integrated Solutions Management to gain more expertise in Internet of Things technology and other areas involving digital transformation.
Terms of the deal announced Tuesday were undisclosed, but ASGN said the ECS business will add 75 employees as a result of the transaction.
ISM will become a part of ECS’ enterprise business solutions group, which provides digital solutions and services to federal civilian and commercial entities. ASGN’s other three segments support Fortune 500 and other commercial customers as well.
Purchased itself by ASGN in 2018, ECS has been the platform for four more deals since including this recent one for ISM. ECS’ acquisitions prior to ISM included two this year for Skyris and the former Blackstone Federal business, which was preceded by the 2019 deal for DHA Group.
Tampa, Florida-based ISM was founded in 1991 and is an “Elite” level partner of cloud computing software firm ServiceNow.
ISM touts having supported many deployments of that platform for public and private sector customers in markets such as defense, health care, transportation, finance and manufacturing.
Some of those included “highly-sensitive government customer needs” and work to deploy ServiceNow’s IoT product called Connected Operations, ISM said.
