SOSi's Mission Parnter Environment
To develop its Mission Partner Environment, SOS International started with partnerships with Forcepoint, Cisco, Nutanix, and VMware. The company also cultivated relationships with its Defense Department customers such as the combatant commands, the services and defense agencies. This combination allowed SOSi to develop a virtualized, hyper-converged environment that can deliver time-critical data to devices anywhere in the world.
The Mission Partner Environment is a secure, robust, and flexible mission environment that leverages common standards and operational concepts that can be used by geographic combatant commanders and allied, coalition, and bilateral partners to communicate and share information. There are more than two dozen nations in the Pacific theater that have a daily requirement to share sensitive command and control data with U.S. warfighters. Rather than configuring a computer for each partner nation, the MPE team can deliver a single computer that provides simultaneous access to any enclave that the user is cleared to access.
The heart of the solution is the multi-enclave client or MEC. The MEC, which does not store data locally to maximize security, can be remotely managed for around the clock user support, and is in compliance with DOD security guidelines since a technician is not required to touch the device. This two-layer, multi-vendor solution enables the use of affordable and readily available equipment to secure communications while being remotely and centrally administered.
The solutions is being used at over 150 locations around the globe.
To enable multiple security domains on a single monitor, the MPE team uses the Forcepoint Trusted Thin Client solution. Other solutions from Cisco, Nutanix, and VMware the MPE team to virtualize hundreds of servers and thousands of desktop computers. Using this architecture, the MPE team can engineer, deploy, and operate secure, robust, and adaptable networked services that provide reliable C4ISR capabilities to support U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and U.S.-allied, coalition, and bilateral partners.
