OM Group expands biz development efforts with new hire
OM Group, No. 3 on the 2020 Washington Technology Fast 50, has hired new vice president of business development as it looks to continue rapidly growing.
OM Group has hired Aaron Tilock as its vice president of strategic growth, a newly-created position for the 2020 Washington Technology Fast 50 company.
“This is our first senior management hire since we hired our Chief Technology Officer Mahesh Srinivasan more than three years ago,” said Sangita Subramanian, chief operating officer. “Aaron has consulted with us on business development this past year, and served as the Program Manager (PMO) for our Air Force SBEAS contract.”
The company is ranked No. 3 on the 2020 Fast 50 with a five-year compound annual growth rate of 180 percent.
OM had five employees and $300,000 in annual revenue when it entered the space in 2015. Today, the company has around 90 employees and revenue greater than $18 million.
“As we continue to grow at a rapid pace, we need someone who can help us optimize our business development processes in order to identify and proactively position us for future growth opportunities,” said CEO Sowmya Hariharan.
Tilock started his career as a contracting officer with the Defense Department and has since worked with a range of companies -- many of which were small businesses with women-, minority- and/or disabled veteran-owned designations.
