Deloitte, Guidehouse push back on lost $350M TSA contract
Grant Thornton won a $350 million strategic planning and logistics contract with the Transportation Security Agency, then losing bidders Guidehouse and Deloitte raised their objections.
Guidehouse and Deloitte have both been knocked out of the competition for a Transportation Security Administration contract for program analysis and strategic support.
TSA chose Grant Thornton for the contract. Now Guidehouse and Deloitte have turned to the Government Accountability Office claiming the evaluation was unreasonable.
The contract replaces two existing contracts for program management support held by Deloitte and professional engineering logistics support services held by Global Systems Technologies, according to Deltek.
But Deltek also indicates TSA doesn’t consider the two existing contracts as incumbent contracts.
The new contract is known as PASS for Program Analysis Strategic Support and includes services such as portfolio, program and project support, acquisition and strategic planning, and engineering and logistics.
Deltek estimates that the value of the contract is $350 million over five years.
The companies filed their protests on Oct. 15. A GAO decision is expected by Jan. 25.
