COPT's board adds former NGA director

Corporate Office Property Trust’s board of trustees has elected a new member in former National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency director Letitia “Tish” Long, the real estate investment trust said Monday.

Long’s term began Oct. 1 at COPT and becomes the board’s ninth member, an increase from the prior number of eight.

Columbia, Maryland-based COPT is an owner and lessor of office buildings and other commercial real estate primarily to federal agencies and government contractors.

The federal government represented 34.6 percent of COPT’s rental revenue for 2019, according to the firm’s annual 10-K regulatory filing. General Dynamics, Boeing, CACI International, Northrop Grumman and Booz Allen Hamilton were among COPT’s other 10 largest tenants in the portfolio.

Long led NGA from 2010 to 2014 and is currently chairman of the board for the Intelligence and National Security Alliance.
