Army keeps incumbents for $800M info systems engineering contract

The Army has retained three incumbents for a three-year, $800 million contract to carry out broad engineering services for the branch’s Information Systems Engineering Command.

General Dynamics’ IT services business, NCI Information Systems and Science Applications International Corp. will continue to vie for delivery orders. Eleven bids were submitted to the Army in pursuit of the contract, the Defense Department said in its Monday awards digest.

This is the fourth iteration of the Army’s Total Engineering and Integration Services vehicle, also known as TEIS. Deltek data indicates GDIT, NCI and SAIC won their seats on TEIS 3 in March 2011 and that contract expired in August.

GDIT has been a participant in each version of TEIS since it was initiated in 2000 with awards to GD and Leidos (then “Old SAIC” prior to the split). NCI and SOS International were two other awardees in 2005, followed by the current version featuring “New SAIC.”
